MMA Full Contact is proud to dedicate a portion of our site to Women's MMA. Although it still occasionally struggles to find the same acceptance as Men's MMA, when given the chance, the women have proved time and time again that they bring it! Technical, hard-hitting, and fast-paced, Women's MMA often steals any show that it appears on. In recognition of this, major MMA organizations like EliteXC and Strikeforce have added some great female fights to their events in the last few years, and Strikeforce even broke new ground when their nationally televised August 2009 event was headlined by Gina Carano fighting Cristiane Santos for the Women’s Lightweight Championship.
With that in mind, MMAFC has aligned with the top advocates of Women's MMA, Fightergirls.com. They've been involved with the sport since its inception and continue to be the top resource for Women's MMA news and statistics. They've even evolved to include a clothing line!
New articles will be added on a weekly basis, so continue to check back often.
