Did Conor McGregor Lose The Mental War Against Floyd Mayweather?

According to a part of Mayweather‘s team, it was ‘clear’ that Conor McGregor came off worse on the recent promotional world tour

That press tour saw Mayweather and McGregor visit four cities across three countries last week, with more than enough sound bites and highlights to fill many a compilation video.

Despite the general consensus appearing to give the “w” to McGregor over Mayweather on account of the UFC lightweight champion’s performances on the tour, “The Money Team” bodyguard Greg De La Rosa feels that it was Mayweather who came out on top:

“I believe the turning point of what showed that he couldn’t get in his head is at the point when he touched his head in London,” La Rosa told Submission Radio. “To me, that showed a sign of weakness in Conor because basically, the touch, you’re not supposed to be touching the other guy obviously, and I believe that touch was to try to bring something out of Floyd and he was basically saying, to me anyways, that I can’t do with words, I can’t do with actions, I need to try to do something else here. And even when he touched him, Floyd wasn’t even paying attention. He was on his phone and was just laughing at him, just laughing. He was talking to other people while Conor was doing his bit and I think that was really getting to Conor.”

La Rosa clearly enjoyed his part on the tour, and in particular, his exchange with “The Notorious”:

“It’s unbelievable, man. I mean, first of all, this is the biggest fight ever and I think it will be the biggest fight that will ever happen in the future and everything, and me being a part of it, you know, I feel extremely blessed and I don’t know how many people can tell their friends and their family that they were on the stage with Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather, and I don’t know how many people can tell their friends that they got into a verbal altercation with Conor. So, it’s a great experience. I had a lot of fun. I can’t replace this experience with anything.”
