“I’m going to be straight-up honest with you, man, the last time I was at this weight was in middle school… (The weight cut’s) not good. Not good. (I’m) moody. You just don’t feel the same, you know what I’m saying? It’s mental, but it’s not a good feeling, to be honest with you. I’m a little anxious.”
- Kimbo Slice in recent comments to Loretta Hunt of Sherdog relaying how difficult his weight cut has been for his 215 lbs catch weight fight with Houston Alexander at this weekend’s The Ultimate Fighter 10: Heavyweights finale. Slice usually fights at a shredded 235 lbs, so any cut – let alone 20 lbs – could have a significant impact on his performance. Coupled with Slice’s bum knee (and the difficult cut being the first of his career) and Alexander bettors have to like what they’re hearing. TUF10: Marcus Jones def. Michael Wessel

Well there is only one left and it is the biggest, but cardio deficient, Marcus. The ex-NFL player will be the last of Rampage’s team members to attempt a victory. Rampage, in the year he is distracted with outside opportunities, could be the first coach to go absolutely winless. The open of the episode shows Rampage Jackson ripping apart a door to the point where Dana White makes a funny and states that there is no future in the UFC being a door.
Quinton gets a bit more serious in trying to pull out a last fight win out of Marcus. All season, no one has expected Marcus to win as he has shown to be injury prone as well as weak in his cardio. However, with his towering frame, the Rampage team knows they have hope if any of his punches comes down and connect.

Moving right along in this season of The Ultimate Fighter with only four fighters awaiting their fighting chance to be in the finale of TUF 10 Heavyweights. The week’s episode starts as the rest in showing the constant bickering between Rampage Jackson and Rashad Evans. At this point it is hard to watch in knowing that Rampage’s retirement will likely mean no fight between the two.
Scott Junk will take on the ex-NFL Matt Mitrione leaving Big Marcus Jones and Mike Wessel to fight next week. Everyone watching has been waiting for Matt to get in the octagon so he can put up or shut up. I would bet on the latter. Matt may be a bit crazy right now, but Scott Junk just might be able to focus his experience and knock a few more screws loose. Scott Junk seems to come to the ring with more than MMA experience, he comes with heart. Being the great white hope for Team Rampage, Junk would actually be the first win for the team this season. I gotta get a beer and some pretzels for this one.

Darrill Schoonover def. Zak Jensen via submission (triangle choke) at 2:29 of the 1st round on this evening’s The Ultimate Fighter 10: Heavyweights broadcast on Spike TV.
This weeks episode of The Ultimate Fighter starts off with the continued back and forth with Rampage and Darrill “Titties” Schoonover. Darrill definitely wants to throw down with Rampage to combat the ridicule he has been putting up with. He does takes Rashad’s advice and walk away which Dana White agrees is a sound recommendation.
The joking continues from Team Rampage, but you have to be good at something – winning fights hasn’t been that something. In the midst of this, Rampage ironically does what sounds like a rehearsal for his new role as Mr T. Throughout the episode you hear Rampage using the rough, very familiar sound of the “I pity those fools”, gold chains wearing 19080′s A-Team superstar.
During practice for the upcoming Darrill Schoonover vs Zak Jensen bout, Zak gets cut directly above his eye. The TUF episode breaks with Kimbo Slice eager to have Zak sit out by doctor’s orders and give him the second chance he desires. To no avail though, Zak begins to train tough and does make it to fight time.
In the fight, Darrill comes out strong and pins Zak against the cage. A few good blows are landed and you can tell Zak is reaching early frustrations. So he gets Darrill to the ground for a change of scenery. However, Darrill is actually does more from the ground and ultimately submits Zak Jensen. Darrill has Zak in a triangle for most of the time and Zak does pass out in the triangle choke.
So its Darrill Schoonover over Zak Jensen via submission (triangle choke) at 2:29 of the 1st round. Join us next week for another recap of TUF on MMA Full Contact.

Justin Wren def. Wes Sims via submission (arm-triangle) at 1:34 of the 1st round on this evening’s The Ultimate Fighter 10: Heavyweights broadcast on Spike TV.
Wren started off on the offensive and was able to push Sims against the cage. They traded a few foot stomps and broke back out into the center of the octagon. It doesn’t take long before Justin Wren is able to secure a takedown of Sims and quickly obtain side control and eventually mount him.
Just moments later Justin Wren locks in an arm triangle. Herb Dean then hovers over Sims and lights out, he passes out. All in a day’s work for Justin Wren who surprised Dana by taking out Wes Sims quickly.

Fight fans, MMA Full Contact back again with a recap of The Ultimate Fighter 10: Heavyweights Week 3.
After a week of great anticipation and endless speculation, Kimbo Slice finally got it on with Roy Nelson on the Spike TV celeb-reality show. For some, it was validation of their predictions. For others, it was a letdown. But, for most, it was another fairly entertaining fight on the trek to crowning this season’s Ultimate Fighter.
The show opened with a softer, gentler side of the Miami brawler being painted in discussions with Abe Wagner. Slice relayed that he’s realized that the enemy is the “inner me” and seemed at peace, while offering insight about his place in the sport and life. He would go on to say that he’s basically a “family man who likes to fight” – indeed, a real Ward Cleaver. At the house, a few fighters offered their take on potential paydays for the week’s fight should it have taken place outside of the reality show.
At the UFC training facility, Team Rampage coaches were confident in that they finally gained Roy Nelson’s trust, in spite of him historically doing it all by himself – training, booking his fights, etc.

Fight fans, MMA Full Contact back again with a recap of The Ultimate Fighter 10: Heavyweights Week 2.
If you watched last week’s TUF season debut episode, you can take pride in the fact that you were part of history. Well, not real history – but UFC history. The debut episode that saw team selection, a re-introduction of Internet sensation and former Elite XC main eventer Kimbo Slice to some, and John Madsen dominate Abe Wagner in a bloodbath, was the highest-rated (total viewers) TUF episode ever. Pretty cool, huh?
Dana White has promised that this season will be the most entertaining ever. If so, that’s a lot of good fights and shenanigans to top from previous seasons. Bloody fights, shocking outcomes, drunken rampages, sickening practical jokes – the show has seen it all. Would this week’s episode start down that path? Drum roll please…. eh, not so much. The episode featured zero high jinks back at the house, poor conditioning throughout a so-so fight, and a questionable outcome. Hold the Emmy, please. However, next week’s episode promises what everyone wants to see – but more on that later.
The show opened at the Vegas house with Roy “Big Country” Nelson relaying that he wants to fight Slice. The fight’s been on his radar for years and he thinks that it would be a good match up for him. As everyone knows “styles make fights”, and Nelson undoubtedly thinks that his strong grappling would be Slice’s exit from competition. Was it a little foreshadowing by show producers?
